Posted By: Greg Gullett , Posted On: 2010-08-02 11:51:05

Gainesville's Featured Game of the Month is just around the corner on August 13th-15th, so we want to go ahead and get out the OOC information for anyone interested in attending. All of this information should also be available on our wiki by the end of the week.

- 8:00pm-12:00am - Masquerade (Cam/Anarch) (ST: Matt Asbell, Email: razorwulf@gmail.com) Location: Keene Faculty Center

Sunday, August 15th:

Site fee for the event is $15 for the entire weekend (regardless of the number of games played), and will be reduced to $10 with a donation for our charity.

Our Charity for the event will be the Humane Society.

Below is a list of things listed on their website that they are in current need of (all of these will be accepted for reduced site fees, other applicable donations will be accepted however):

  •   3" and 4" Binders
  •   Kitty litter, kitty litter, kitty litter!
  •   Litter scoops
  •   Laundry detergent
  •   Treats for dogs and cats
  •   Bathroom rugs
  •   Collars for dogs
  •   Cat carriers
  •   Dog crates
  •   Leashes
  •   Baby shampoo
  •   Paper towels
  •   Hand soap

We will also be having a Silent Auction and Bake Sale all day on Saturday, and some of the proceeds from those will also be going to the Humane Society.

Some notes about the events:
We are not doing pre-registration for any games, so please be sure to bring two copies of your character sheets, one for you and one for us. If you have any items that are High, Top, or Global approval, you need to contact the STs in advance to let them know at the above email addresses.
The Masquerade game will have alcoholic beverages being served by volunteers. Due to this, we will be stamping the hands of anyone wishing to drink alcohol. You will be required to show ID proving that you're over 21 (no exceptions), and you'll receive a hand stamp. Only those with hand stamps will be served alcohol, and anyone without a hand stamp caught drinking alcohol will immediately be asked to leave, along with receiving any appropriate Camarilla sanctions.
As stated in the IC premise, the Masquerade game will involve a Symposium for the Princes who will be in attendance. If you play a Prince who will be attending, or if you're playing someone representing your Prince and wish to attend the symposium, please contact Matt Asbell at razorwulf@gmail.com so we can get a head count.
Keene Faculty Center and Pugh Hall are right next to each other, so the directions for both are the same. The parking lot there is somewhat small, so carpooling is encouraged but more parking will be available.

Below are directions to the sites:
Pugh Hall:
>From I-75 get off on Exit 387, turn right onto Newberry Drive, which will become University Blvd.
Turn right on Gale Lemerand Drive (it'll take awhile to get there - it's before 13th Street)
Turn left onto Stadium Road, turn Left on Fletcher Dr and parking is on the right in between two buildings.
If there are questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. We look forward to seeing you!

Hello everyone! Well, I have set up a new Photo Gallery system on the web server so we now have a nice place to store all of our pictures. I will be enabling hot-linking so you can share pictures from it on another site and so on.

The gallery is here [ gallery.gainesville-camarilla.org ]

For those that want their own album or want to contribute, please email me and I will set up an account for you!

Thanks.

Site Updates

Hello, I just wanted to point out that I have added google maps to the event viewer.

As always you can click on a calendar item and see more detailed information about an event but now you have a new Google Map section in the location area to pinpoint where it is!

I am working on possibly integrating driving directions as well. More site enhancements are underway!
